Actually, it's not a lynx or karacal either. Those are separate animals. This is a couger, aka mountain lion, aka puma (it's commonly called all three names).

Bobcats are spotted and are smaller.

Lynxes have longer fur and tufted ears and different markings.

Karacals also have tufts on their ears and striking facial markings, plus they are from asia and africa, not that we know where this pic is from at all.

Judging from the size in this picture, this is obviously a very young puma. Which also explains it's being so unsure when faced with a glass door and domestic cat. A more mature adult puma would probably have more experience.


actually if any1knew anything bout animal behavior they would know that this mountain lion is afraid of the house cat as u can tell by the body posture and the facial expressions
